As a multi-disciplinary museum, the Sankturbanhof stands at the interface of art and culture, present and past. In four exhibitions a year, the museum’s own collection and the local context are constantly juxtaposed with contemporary positions, current themes or socio-cultural discourses. The Sankturbanhof Museum sees itself as a place for encounters and reflection, as a space for dialog and contemporary social issues. Historical objects meet contemporary art, exhibiting artists engage with the collection. This gives rise to topical questions and references that enable a new perspective on the collections and our cultural heritage.
