COAL MINE GALLERY, WINTERTHUR

The COALMINE is the Volkart Foundation’s in-house cultural center. In the former coal cellar of the Volkarthaus in Winterthur, built in 1905, COALMINE now houses a cozy café and offers space for in-house cultural events and guest events.

COALMINE sees itself as an experimental and future-oriented venue for visual culture and communication. It uses interaction and social media to facilitate access to photography and film.
